Calling a dissector

Hello List, I have read that there are three ways to call a dissector: 1) A dissector can call another dissector directly 2) A dissector can setup a lookup table for other dissectors to register on 3) A dissector can ask to look at the data of the packets tha do not match any other protocol Now, I'd like you to give me an example of each: 1) I suppose here it's the case where there is well-known small set of subdissectors for this dissector. 2) Here it's the case of all UDP or TCP subdissectors, isn't it? 3) Is it the case of heuristic dissectors?
