Dissector bug: failed assertion

i am programming a ethereal plug-in and I got following error message:

Dissector bug, protocol foo : proto.c : 2742 : failed assertion "(guint)hfindex < gpa_hfinfo.len" in ethereal version 0.99.0 and
Dissector bug, protocol foo : proto.c : 2439 : failed assertion "(guint)hfindex < gpa_hfinfo.len" in ethereal version 0.10.14

Did anyone know what could be the problem with that "(guint)hfindex < gpa_hfinfo.len" expression ?
