But I dont know how it handles the out-of-order packets. Intuitively, I think, that it just stores them as they arrive. It might as well reoerder them to bring them back in the right sequence. What might aid in achieving a good quality is that becuse it does not have a jitter buffer and that u dont have to deal with the playout delay syndrome, the the packets arriving too late are not discarded. If ethereal reorders the packets, then u may find very good quality: The only impairments would be due to packet loss occuring at intermediate nodes due to congestion (given a particular codec).
