Build trouble (again)

I am sorry to bother again with this email. But I was not a member of
the list, and I don't know if the previous one got through. I have
checked out the bleeding repository and the problem persists.

The content of the previous mail follows:

When I run gen to make configure I get

$ ./gen
aclocal: /usr/share/aclocal/lib-prefix.m4: 16: duplicated macro `AC_LIB_ARG_WITH'
aclocal: couldn't open `configure.in': No such file or directory
automake: couldn't open `configure.in': No such file or directory

These are the versions of some packages you might like to know

autoconf-2.57-142 automake-1.4-14 libtool-1.5-85 m4-1.4o-512

Distribution: SuSE Linux 9.0 (i586)
