I was considering writing a UI for Windows, which is why I was browsing
the spec. I've used Gaim for a long time now, and its great, Godbless,
when I have to boot to Red Hat, but for Windows...? For Windows, I would
like something that connects to Yahoo! I have to run MSN Messenger and
Yahoo! right next to Gaim. Its not pretty. ;) I suspect eb-lite will
rise to the top if a very clean UI is producted for it.

While I'm on the subject, can someone explain to me the expected
feature-set of eb-lite IM "plugins?"
Buddy icons? File transfers? Direct IM? Will eb-lite service the lowest
common denominator, protocol wise, or can extended functionality be
implemeneted for protocols that support the "frills" or extras?
