Hey there, Well, this is it. I've implemented most of the framework for data messages, and it's now in trunk. Briefly, data messages are the abstraction for sending all sorts of arbitrary data, including webcams and file transfer. The only transport code I've actually cooked up so far is a way of encapsulating small data messages with a disposition of "inline" in IMs, which means that you can send little pictures (under a couple of k, I do mean little) inline without bothering with file transfer. As some of you will know, I have my eye on handwritten messages, on account of recently having acquired a tablet PC, which is why I've implemented the path that these would take first... If the above made no sense to you, you'd probably do well to read doc/GUI_SPEC, where I've tried to explain it in a little more detail, at least from the UI end. Chris - How are those exams? And, um, when they're finished, what are our chances of an implementation of inline image messages in ebqt? *big round eyes* Pleeeease? Meredydd
