How vital is this? I'm quite pleased with the way that we manage to 
avoid doing any console interaction with the core - makes it nice and  
automateable (yeah, I have ideas for that - once we get the GUIcomms 
stuff taped). Would you be satisfied with a UI command to shut down the 
core?
