Great to know that :)

OK.

It seems we are a group of people with not much time to give to eb-lite.

Those days I am wondering whether I should go on with ebnc, or go
hacking elsewhere. Please don't feel like I'm setting an ultimatum, I
just want to express my latest thoughts and see what will come out of
it.

I know I don't contribute that much myself. The problem is, I need some
'community-motivation'. Some kind of keep-in-touch, to know I'm part of
a team going somewhere together. Then maybe I'm not in the right place,
I only wander on what I though was the official project IRC channel, and
we are 3 zombies here (well, on the hours I'm there). So far there is
only one person talking with me about eb-lite: Craig West. Would I have
really felt alone, I would have left.

I am not blaming anyone, there is no mandatory duty and I don't want
any. If I'm the only one feeling like that (everyone has very little
time to give and is happy with the way things are, contributing each bit
when they can), then right, eb-lite is just not giving back to me what I
expected.

I can't even answer questions like: why are we still in alpha? what do
we need to get to beta? what do we need to get to release? is one (or
more than one) of us ready to take the burden that making a release
means, so the others could feel motivated and really contribute as much
as they can, achieving goals?

I am about to (once again) rewrite the drawing part of ebnc, and this is
a big task. I don't know if this is needed to be able to get to release,
or if I should concentrate on features lacking in ebnc, or if I should
try to make it work on more terms, ... you get the idea. Who do I turn
to? I'm near the point where I think that what I'm doing will be totally
forgotten in the end (it's not like eb-lite is the only IM application).
I still do think there is a great idea behind it.

So, without any team-gathering (even if it was only a 2-hours range per
week, but *something*) where we can all see who is eb-lite and where
it's going, and without any release goal (like a list of must-do,
should-do, may-do - but maybe I missed something on the website or on
the list?), I don't have the will to give my little spare time to eb-
lite.

Looking forward to your comments,
Karine.
