Sorry, I know there's a separate list for this, but it seems to be dead so
I'll use this one.

I'm extremely proud to announce that EB-lite has acquired its first usable
user interface. This is in Qt, and is with us courtesy of Chris Boyle
([email protected]). It supports messaging, contact management, and full
preferences. The big missing features right now are:

- Away message support (OK in the core, missing from the UI)
- Contact renaming / moving accounts between contacts (Not in core)
- Group chat support (OK in core, missing in UI)
- Chat logging

I'll be seeking Rob's go-ahead to do an official alpha release, but for now
you can get both the EB-lite core and ebqt from Everybuddy CVS. Follow the
ordinary CVS instructions from the website, but use "eb-lite" wherever you'd
see "everybuddy" - this means that "co everybuddy" becomes "co eb-lite".
Feedback is most welcome!
