msn users offline

hello all; i'm new to everybuddy and i.m. in general, so bear with me ;-) situation: * running mandrake 9.0 with everybuddy-0.4.3-3.20021017.2mdk.rpm * added a msn contact to my 'buddy' list (my wife's) the problem: * if she's online of not, she's still marked as offline in everybuddy * she can initiate a chat with me, but i cant reply, keep on getting 'user is offline' * i can't initiate a chat of my own with my wife, keep on getting 'user is offline' anyone a clue of what's wrong here?
