If only I had access to the website, I'd put it in the FAQ... I believe the answer is to check whether you have libstdc++.so.4 installed in any form. If this is the case, then you can just install it with the nodeps option - the "(GLIBCPP_3.1)" is an irritating irrelevance. This should also solve Jorre's problem (hence the CC)...
