Yes. I know. It had a pretty horrible command line interface too. What you 
described sounds much nicer.

I had a look at this myself a while back, but I am totally hopeless at C. 
And I know it is possible to do GTK in Perl and such, but I don't like the 
idea of it much.

Somebody has written an explanation of it, but I can't find it now. It 
boggled my mind reading it though. Really the only documentation is the 
talk source code. However, I think there was such a thing as GNOME-Talk 
for GNOME 1.x. Possibly that has cleaner, better-documented source code.

I thought eb-lite only supported 4 protocols. Everybuddy once had 8 
remember? (AIM-TOC, AIM-OSCAR, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Zephyr) Half 
are broken now :-(
