What about having eb_account objects in separate, special linked list, and with a NULL "contact" pointer? Message send and receive messages could just omit the group and contact (empty string - something which should NEVER be allowed by the core, whereas "__Dummy_whatever" is technically valid), and service routines should just be prepared to accept calls involving an account with no contact attached. This might make work for the UI, though...anyone? Meredydd -- MSN Developer, Everybuddy project http://www.everybuddy.com/ MSN: [email protected] AIM: blip109 Yahoo: modula7
