Sorry about this, but...
I have just concluded that some part of my system and the Java tools it has
installed are b0rked. I can take a working sample JAR (which downloads and
installs fine onto my phone), decompress it, recompress it according to the
instructions on the Sun website for command-line MIDlet package building, and
it will not work ("String entered too long" being the error, I believe).
Therefore, I'd like to ask whether there's any member of this list who can
successfully make working MIDlet JARs? I can develop the J2ME interface with
the emulator (after the WAP one, which is under dev at the moment), but I'll
need someone else to help me deploy to actual phones.
