Yes, it is dead. But msn protocol didn't change since more than one year,
so you shouldn't have any problem. Which MSN module do you use ? (you
should see it in preferences | Modules). It should be "MSN Service New".
If not, maybe you're using old module and maybe this one (which has an old
protocol) doesn't work anymore.
If you can't get it to work you may effectively want to try eb-lite or
ayttm (which is a fork of the old everybuddy codebase).
