Why what? Why are they separate projects? Because I rely on being able to 
recompile just the core, and Chris just ebqt, and me (in another guise) just 
eb-cmd. It would be a right pain if, say, Chris broke the repository version 
of ebqt, and I still wanted to develop my core on a working version. Or what 
if I'm just testing something, and only want the core and eb-cmd?
