eb-lite alpha-9 compilation, configuration errors

Hello,

I was trying to install eb-lite/ebqt under Mandrake 9.1 and I've encountered
the following problem:

in core/plugins/yahoo/ directory there is a compiler flag that prevents
pre-processor to run as a result define PACKAGE and VERSION  fail...

The other problem I have is when I start eb-lite I get the following
message:

[pmel@mpileni pmel]$ eb-lite &
[1] 1768
[pmel@mpileni pmel]$ Could not load registry: No such file or directory
202 140 63 26 73 44 131 31

ebqt runs ok but I cannot do anything usefull ;-(


any ideas?
