Sorry for my previous, rather excited email - it was dashed off in the
middle of a big update. Here's a slightly calmer summary of what's
what:

(1)	I've got my repository access back (albeit by somewhat contorted
means). I have used this opportunity to commit various fixes to the
core, and have pushed these into both the bleeding and alpha trees. I
have in fact broken my own rules, pushing untested code into the alpha
branch. However, I thought it relatively important that people get MSN
back.

(2)	I have also put the latest ebqt into bleeding and alpha. This may
prove to have been an unwise move - I'm having trouble getting it
working. I'll talk about this in a separate email.

(3)	I'm gradually working through, adding the stuff I've created since I
last had access. So far, I have added eb-console, a full-strength
command-line client which replaces the rather hurriedly-created
GUIcomms sample client. It uses the GNU readline library, thereby
allowing you to edit command lines before sending, and provides
history, tab completion and contextual help on all client-to-server
commands (tab key for that too). Look for it in the eb-console/
directory of whichever tree you're using.

(4)	I *think* the core at least is ready to release alpha-10. Could
people please test the code currently in Subversion? Looking at the
Changelog, there's *so* much in there that really ought to be released.
We're also coming dangerously close to meeting beta criteria (chat
logs, file transfer).

Thanks a lot, especially for hanging on (well, those of you who have at
any rate ;^)) as I get put through the mill in connectivity terms :^)
