Sometime Today, A. Craig West assembled some asciibets to say: > I happen to agree entirely with this change, but there is one issue > with it that will cause us some problems. First, there is no trivial > way to clean up the old plugin directory, although we can tell the > user to do that in the ChangeLog or something. I think eb-lite is still young enough to do this safely. One would typically find that the kind of people who use alpha software are largely geeks who could fix this problem themselves, or at the least, report it. Judging from what happened on the ayttm list when we made this change, we'll get several segfault reports in the first week or so, and then it should be clean. Another solution may be to just change the path without prompting the user. This is only a problem if there are third party modules available for eb-lite. -- Mulder: I don't trust them.
