Hi,
How to auto-replace specific word in "subject:" header when reply news?
Let me explain a little clearer. I've notice that a few people use Windows Mail prefer use "Reply:" prefix rather than "Re:" while replying news. Even worse, some non-English version Windows Mail on Vista use local language reply prefix instead of standard "Re:". This really makes a BIG problem, and flames some newsgroups. Since most newsreader do not understand non-standard reply-prefix, so these newsreaders just ignore it and add standard "Re:" before the subject header. When a thread gets longer, the problem get bigger. At last, you'll get a subject like this: "Re: Reply: Re: Reply: Re: Reply: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".
I DO think fidolook can solve this issue, at least partly. I want to auto replace "Reply: Re:" to "Re:" while I reply a news. But I don't know how to start. Any ideas?
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Regards,
M.
