Which version of Fire are you using this with? That portion of the message handling was completely rewritten in 0.99 and above. It does replace newlines with <BR>, but only in the base64 encoded output after encryption. This is to allow services which do not handle newlines in the message to be able to understand a base64 encoding. (MSN irc) The content of the encrypted message, after decryption in Fire will be exactly as it was on the sending side. If you are using the Fire GPG encryption to talk to a client from another vendor, we are aware of the differences which make it so that they are not interoperable. This is something we hope to address in future releases.
