I agree that it would make sense to use the same colour for the buddy 
name in the drawer as in the buddy list.

In some respects it would be preferable to overlay the icon with the 
"offline" symbol that Fire uses elsewhere to represent an offline 
buddy.  It's also worth mentioning that the typing notification that 
appears in the drawer differs from the standard image that is overlaid 
on the "Buddy Controls" toolbar item.  This is less than ideal.
