This would make it impossible to permanently customize things such as their displayed name, notifications, and similar items. What is really needed is the ability to mark a buddy as being "transient", meaning that it shouldn't be saved, but make it possible to change these transient buddies into persistent ones should the user desire. On the whole, Rendezvous support is still a little shaky but it should improve over the coming days. Cheers for the feedback, Mark Rowe
