Fellow Fans of Fire,

We are very happy to announce that we have an alpha candidate for our
Fire 1.0 release! We would like your help in testing this application
before we release it to the general public.

We anticipate working with you over the next 3-4 weeks to test this
version of the product before we go live. It is anticipated that we
will have about 2 weeks of alpha testing, followed by 1-2 weeks of beta
testing. We will be releasing new test versions periodically during
this process.

If you choose to help us test these products, please keep in mind the
following:

- These are not released versions, and so will not be supported long
term.
- This release is English Only (although other languages are included,
they are from the old version)
- This release will only run on 10.2 and above (future alpha builds
will support 10.1)
- You need to enter bugs (especially crash logs) into our bug tracking
database
	Instructions are at:
		http://fire.sourceforge.net/faq.shtml#general-bugreport
- As we switch to Beta in 2 weeks, we will include localizations for 13
languages.

Known Issues:
Yahoo occasionally stays in "Connecting" mode forever
Yahoo occasionally displays Hundreds of "New Mail" notifications
Yahoo occasionally sends hundreds of messages about a
cookie_received_cb to the log
MSN crashes occasionally (please submit bugs with crash logs)

With all that, you can download the alpha 1 candidate here:

Thanks,
- The Fire Development Team
