I am assuming that this problem resolved itself. There is no central "fire" server, we just use the servers provided by the other service providers (AIM, Yahoo, MSN, etc) At this time, Fire is able to connect to all of the supported service types. (With the exception of some Jabber servers which use a challenge-response mechanism) It sounds like you may have been experiencing a local network issue since all of the services were unavailable.
