Mobile IM client support

Does Fire support showing users as online that have AIM accounts on their cell phones?

The reason I ask is my brother had gotten a cell phone that has an AOL IM client on it but when I added him to
my buddy list, he doesn't show up as online (and his phone is always online).  He's able to IM me and we can IM
without a problem.  I haven't tried IM'ing him but I have to assume that it will allow me.  I'm using version
1.0.3 of Fire.
