Feature request maybe?

This may not be a feature other people want, so I thought I'd post it 
to the list and see what people think.

I've seen some chat clients that, even after a chat window has been 
closed, will show recent history when you receive a new message from 
someone or when you send them a new message. This can be pretty handy 
if you close out windows to do other stuff and then someone responds at 
a much later time with additional information.

Of course, Fire does a nice job of letting me see what happened via the 
history browser, but it would be easier if it were right in the chat 
window.

Do other people think this would be useful?
