so i installed 1.5 just earlier today... and decided to try out the Rendezvous/OpenTalk/whatever it's called feature for iChatting on the local network... well... i'm at Macworld right now... and my buddy list got completely %$&#@*-ed up because it appears to have added a good 75 names to my list. thanks. these are people i don't know. and certainly do not want to have live in my "Offline" group for the rest of my life. and in fact... i don't want random Rendezvous names showing up *automatically* into any group *EVER*unless i *specifically* ask for them to be. since i can't sort the list by service to just delete all the added Rendezvous people at once... i guess i have to manually do it... which is a pain as most iChat people slap an icon on their stuff... so no easy visual cue to them being Rendezvous added names. then of course never ever turn on the Rendezvous account again... and just go back to iChat when needing it. am i the only person bothered by this? am i really the only person that will actually crack open the Offline group to send an offline message to Yahoo or ICQ users? will these names just magically over time disappear? why on earth do they self-add anyway... that is so wrong on so many levels. zeb. ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
