Status states across services?

I just got curious about something, and it didn't seem obvious from the
FAQ or documentation. (Unless I overlooked something.)

How do the various statuses (away, idle, busy, invisible, etc...)
manifest across the different services? MSN and AOL, for example, don't
support "Invisible"; AIM doesn't support "busy"; how does this manifest
in these services? Is there a simple matrix such as:

Invisible: MSN (Away), ICQ (Invisible), Yahoo (Invisible), MSN (Busy)

Or something?

I'm sure I can figure this out by experimentation, but I reckon someone
else has already.

Thanks!
