Yes, this is definitely on my radar to get fixed.  The good news (for 
the short term) is that the storm of packets will stop after about 6 
minutes, and your CPU usage will return to normal.  I am working with 
the developers of libyahoo2 to get a solution to this issue before we 
go to beta.
