Jabber SSL problems

I am having trouble getting fire to connect w/a Jabber server which only allows SSL connections. In the account setup I switched the port to 5223 which is the SSL port but fire responds with saying "Register? You are not authorized - Do you want to create and account on the Jabber server". The jabber error.log has - 20031231T18:10:38 myaccount-dbVaDHFsUTiA6JwC0rC5IAC/[email protected] login fail xx.xx.xx.xx 401 everybuddy I have been able to connect with other clients such as Psi on my Mac and RyhmBox on Windows XP without a problem.
