As suggested, I downloaded the nightly tarball and it worked flawlessly. I assume the CVS thing is a SourceForge problem, and not endemic to Fire alone. Would be nice to have CVS for the faster build time (since pre-build items won't be recompiled if they haven't changed). In any case, if it hasn't been said enough: The dev team on Fire rocks like Slayer!
