Re: MSN Contacts appearing offline

I have also experienced this problem numerous time, since 0.32.d, I 
think.  I am currently running 0.99.2.  Not only do my contacts never 
show as online and the problem with me showing online and not being 
able to respond, but also I suffer from the multiplying buddies on MSN. 
  This only seems to be with buddies that I add.  I have had people ask 
me why I haven't allowed them to add me to their list.  I never got the 
notification until I used a different client and authorized them.  I 
have tried deleting the account, setting the defaults to sync with MSN 
(this worked only once for me), readding the buddies themselves, and 
both of my macs do this.  (G4 450 tower and G3 iBook 700 both running 
Panther.)  Nothing seams out of the ordinary in the logs.  The official 
Mac and Windows clients works, as does GAim on Linux, Windows, and Mac 
OS.  Trillian also does not have this problem.  This has been a problem 
for some time now.  So far I have learned to just deal with it and not 
use MSN.
