Yahoo not "really" signing on

Even though I can't use Fire 0.99.2 with AIM or MSN, I'm still using 
it at work to sign onto ICQ and Yahoo. (My work machine is a dual G4 
running 10.3.2.)

Most of the time (probably 4 out of 5 times) when I launch Fire, 
which is set to auto-connect to Yahoo, ICQ, and MSN, all three show 
up as connected, but only ICQ has any buddies showing. If I 
disconnect and reconnect Yahoo, I then get several buddies showing as 
online.

Fire's console shows effectively the same info on both connection 
attempts, but only on the second attempt does anything "useful" 
happen:
