I'm seeing exactly this behaviour too.

OS X 10.3.2, PowerBook 12" G4 867.

MSN connects, no buddies appear, and then two minutes later, it
disconnects. The Fire Console window just shows entries like this:

07/03/2004 12:18:04 - MSN - Connected
07/03/2004 12:20:02 - MSN - Disconnected
07/03/2004 16:47:28 - MSN - Connected
07/03/2004 16:49:38 - MSN - Disconnected

I use a non-hotmail passport ID; I've tried adding a Hotmail one as
well, and exactly the same behaviour is exhibited.

I can sign on ok from the same PowerBook using the official client,
without any problems. That client will spot my Hotmail id being used by
Fire, showing it as signed on, but Fire is unable to see the id that
the MSN client is using.

When I try to send a message from the official client to the id using
Fire, MSN reacts as if the message has been set, but Fire does not
receive it. Fire then disconnects, again, in much the same time frame
as it has been throughout:

07/03/2004 19:18:34 - MSN - Connected
07/03/2004 19:19:39 - MSN - Disconnected
07/03/2004 19:19:59 - MSN - Connected
07/03/2004 19:21:06 - MSN - Disconnected

At that point, the MSN client correctly reports that the id using Fire
appears to be offline.

I hope there's enough detail here to shed a little more light; if
there's any other useful reporting that I can provide, I'll be happy to
do so.

Regards,

Nigel.
