and therein lies the problem, fire is new for us, msn protocol has never worked.
the project is to ween a number of people off msn/messenger and onto
jabber/fire [mac os x] and jabber/gaim [linux/win]. having both working is a
bit of a prerequisite to progressing, hence my impatience...

back to 0.32.i for jabber then...
