Re: AIM Troubleshooting Fire 0.99.2

CC'ing fire-talk in case there is interest from anyone else there.

Let me guess, you don't have friendly names (aliases) for a lot of your 
buddies and you just know them by screen name.

Basically, what was happening was the following (may be a bit 
technical, but you should get the idea).

Your Fire sent 132 SSI_EDITDONE commands to the server within 0.4 
seconds.  The server kicked you for that, and Fire would try logging in 
again, where it did the exact same thing.  I managed to trace it back 
to a bug where if you had not set an alias for a buddy, and there was 
not alias in the server list, it tried to set a null alias.  This cause 
the lib to recognize this, and not do anything, but it then decided 
that this would be a good point to make sure it starts working on 
pending server side list messages.  It finds none since no edit was 
made, so it sends the edit done command.  This likely happens once for 
each buddy in your list.

If you could, try following the directions on the development page to 
rebuild fire from CVS and see if that fixes it.
