Still can't get fire to connect

I still can't get fire 1.0 to connect, but I did make some head way.

I removed all pref files, from both libraries, and entered all new 
account information

nothing connections but this time the console window showed

the accounts window show connecting, and after 5 minutes nothing has 
connected.

Any ideas at all?
