1.0.1 and Profile Identification

I just got my laptop back from repair, and installed Fire 1.0.1.
I have since been told by my MSN buddies that my MSN identification
is showing. In the Profiles preference panel I have checked the
option that allows me to put whatever name I want. But the name I
put in the text box isn't appearign to my buddies, whereas with the
previous stable version it was.
What can I do to fix this?
