Re: Yahoo Buddy List Destroyed

While I can't offer suggestions at to what to do with Yahoo, I can 
answer some questions as to why things are the way they are.  Hopefully 
Alan can provide some insight to the yahoo service.

Fire is designed to mix buddies of different services together.  For 
instance, I have the same person, on 4 services with each of his 
accounts having the same display name and in the same group.  If you 
turn on Clustering in the buddies window preference, all will be 
collapsed into one buddy in the list (an expandable one that shows all 
the actual buddies).

ICQ buddies showed up in the Default Group because the ICQ service code 
in Fire doesn't at present work entirely with the server list, so these 
buddies are put in Default Group since it doesn't know what group to 
put them in.

Blocked Buddies is a special group that contains the buddies that are 
blocked for the current online accounts.  You can have a buddy blocked 
on one account, but not an others.  If you log off your accounts, you 
should notice that this group is empty.  Secondly, in order for Fire to 
keep track of the buddies you have blocked, it needs to keep a buddy 
for them.  Just because a buddy exists in Fire's list, doesn't mean it 
exists in the account's list (edit the buddy, and look at the account's 
tab).

Lastly, submit your crash reports.  Instructions are in the FAQ: 
http://fire.sourceforge.net/faq.php#general-crash  Without this 
information, simply saying that the application crashed doesn't provide 
anything in terms of useful help in fixing the problem.
