Freenet 0.5.2 release candidate 4 is now available from
http://freenetproject.org/index.php?page=3Ddownload

Major changes since RC3:

* Substantial reduction in memory footprint and CPU usage
* Many, many bugfixes, and speedups, varying severities, in NIO (tons of
  stuff, all fairly important), in the simple/advanced system, in the
  datastore (eliminated a major memory and CPU spike that occurred
  during a successful announcement), in the ARK insert and retrieve
  code, ...
* Should now work on Win9X/WinME
* Increased default splitfile threads to 30, maximum retries to 50, got
  a new icon to indicate a block is actually transferring data, set a
  default upload bandwidth limit of 12kB/sec, hopefully this will lead
  to less users setting their node transient when they didn't set a
  limit and it floods their connection (freenet's usage is symmetrical),=20
* Updates to README, to HTML, to descriptions of config parameters, to
* GCJ makefile, etc
* And plenty more
