Hey guys, are we interested in this? Would anyone like to take the lead on
it?

Hello,

As you may know, each year DuckDuckGo donates to projects and
organizations that match our values, totaling over US$800K so far (
https://duckduckgo.com/donations ). Our theme for 2018 is privacy and
I'm pleased to say we'd like to include Freenet Project in our funding
campaign. Unlike previous years, we'll be working with a company called
CrowdRise (https://www.crowdrise.com ) to bring more awareness to our
chosen organizations and encourage donations from the public.

We're pledging $500K to participating organizations, matching the first
$2,000 from public donors for any participating organization, and
offering ten grand prizes and weekly prizes for the rest. We're aiming
for about 30 organizations so the chance of receiving a prize is high.
To make the most of the campaign, organizations would encourage their
supporters to donate via our dedicated page to maximize the matching and
prizes we'll offer. For reference, here's an example of a previous
CrowdRise campaign with Revlon as the sponsor:
https://www.crowdrise.com/RevlonChallenge

In that case, Revlon ran a campaign pledging $1.4 million to their
chosen organizations, which generated an additional $6.3 million in
public donations. Our goal here is to maximize the impact of our
donations and raise as much for privacy organizations as possible. By
working together we can do that.

We're planning our campaign for March 2018 over a four-week period,
chosen specifically to be outside the holiday funding cycle. During this
time, organizations will communicate with existing donor bases and
followers.

If you're interested in taking part in this campaign, which we're
planning for March 2018, please let me know and I'll be in touch with
further details, or equally happy to answer any questions you may have.
In the meantime, please find attached a campaign brochure which explains
more about what to expect.

With regards,
Daniel
