The bedraggled man in the rear corner of the room stood, cleared his throat

man reached into the pocket of his weatherbeaten jacket and got out a small
glass jar.  He opened the jar and removed a six inch long nightcrawler.
Looking up at the puzzled crowd he announced, "I await your answer with
baited breath."  Then he put the worm gently on his tongue, carefully
closed his mouth and sat down.
