http://tech-insider.blogspot.com/2005/04/china-tightens-internet-filtering.html (from /.) "Compared to similar efforts in other states, China's filtering regime is pervasive, sophisticated, and effective. It comprises multiple levels of legal regulation and technical control. It involves numerous state agencies and thousands of public and private personnel. It censors content transmitted through multiple methods, including Web pages, Web logs, on-line discussion forums, university bulletin board systems, and e-mail messages." Now, would somebody like to explain to me why: - China won't block the current session bytes? - China won't harvest nodes and block the entire network with or without session bytes? They have already blocked FreeGate, not a long time ago. They will block us too. And their system will be a model for other countries, mostly using western hardware and software. I haven't read the report in full but will do so later today. -- Matthew J Toseland - toad-EI5O+8PHWbJeeLb3ft/[email protected] Freenet Project Official Codemonkey - http://freenetproject.org/ ICTHUS - Nothing is impossible.
