Not possible. Even if we did implement some form of pointer redirect
scheme, it would be floodable just the same as pushing data to
datastores is - push your own thousands of bogus pointers. I'm not
saying that something like this won't be possible in or after 0.7, but I
am saying that it would still be floodable.

The only long term defences against flooding, apart from a few design
issues, are:
- A big network. So that it is very expensive to flood.
- A darknet, so that the amount of damage a flooder can do is severely
  limited by the number of "friends" he can get to connect to him, and
  so it will be difficult for him to get in in the first place.
