This will work with any web browser without any plugins, even if it isn't quite as pretty as using the "freenet:" prefix? While we might gain the visual elegance of freenet:-style URL prefixes, we lose cross-browser compatibility, and the ability for people to link to pages on Freenet without special browser plugins. It really isn't worth it.
