Yes, nextgens and infinity0 are working on this. Our Startcom SSL cert expired and we bought a new one, but the scripts still expect a Startcom SSL cert. The plan is to get a cert from them just for https://checksums.freenetproject.org/ and then make the new version of the update script use https://downloads.freenetproject.org/ which uses the main (new, non-startcom) cert.
