Sorry for the unclear documentation. IP address override doesn't override the other detected IPs; this is intended. We only override it if you set bindTo as well. Of course you can't do that if you're e.g. on a static IP but behind a NAT. Usually bindTo is only used when there are multiple local internet connections and you only want Freenet to use one of them, in which case we should only advertise that address. Do you need a true ip address override that works even if you don't have a local inet interface?
