If client A then tells the plugin to stop polling key X, it will remove the key from the list of client A, and stop polling that key if there are no other 'subscribers'. If all clients only get to know their own keys, the only attack I can think of is based on the time it takes from you subscribe to the first message arrives. If this takes very little time, you can assume that someone else is already subscribed to that key. The above could of course be combined with some sort of login so the plugin could remember subscriptions on a per-user basis rather than a per-client basis.
