-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- | From: Hugh Daniel <[email protected]> | This means that FreeS/WAN has "default" conn's that have a | particular meaning to Pluto. These name (and thats all they are, | names) might be in use by FreeS/WAN systems now or easily used in the | future by someone not quite thinking about what they are doing. | | I would suggest that we declare that any name starting with an | underscore ("_") be a 'system' conn'ection and that anyone fooling in | that space had better tend to their own wounds. Then we can change | the above names to _BLA before 2.00 goes out the door and hopefully | never have to worry about this minor thing again. Actually, I think that the current behaviour works well. Pluto will not implicitly define a conn with a name that the user has defined. So Pluto will not get in the way of the user. If the user wants the functionality of an implicit conn, he will have to leave that name to Pluto (or define his own in a similar way). As far as I can see, there is no problem. Well, perhaps a tiny theoretical one: the user could have intended to define one, but failed to do so, and then unexpectedly get the implicit one. Can you see an important scenario where there is a problem?
